Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Welcome new Keystone Staters.

Chicnmama, we're neighbors! What do you raise?

PAChickenlover, Congrats on the Calls!! I hear that they're hard to hatch, one must possess spray bottles and such. Good going!!

Just recruited my neighbor to come to Green Dragon too! He wants an EMU. His friends are like, 'No!, Bill.... NO!!' Too funny. I am SOO excited, I hope I get my birds there in time, I hope I don't mess it up. They had a calf at the last Green Dragon, that was the sweetest looking thing ever, I was like, "Hon, I could one fit in the back of the car". He says, 'Yer crazy". And then sure enough, my son saw someone load it into a Volvo, a VOLVO! yes, where there is a will, there is a way.

sgtmom's link is for the weekly farmer's market, which has a quick mention of our weekly Friday evening small animal/poultry auction. We are having a Spring Auction on Saturday May 12th @ 10am and will feature more fancy and exotic birds/poultry/small animals.

The address is 955 North State Street Ephrata, PA 17522.

I am reposting this as I keep referring to it and people are asking. : )

Welcome to all the new posters!

Congrats on the ducklings PAchickenlover! Post some photos when you can!

Hope to meet some of you Saturday!

Welcome to all the new peeps!!!!

Apparently it's close to a 4 hour trip for me, to get there by 8AM, I'll have to leave by 4AM. :( (Account for "lost" time here.)
Dang...Here's what I'm bringing with me:

A trio of White Silkies (who was it on here that wanted them? I'll bring them especially for you if you'd like?)

A blue Langshan cock and three White Langshan hens (should I sell these as a quad, a trio or separately?)

SEVERAL black Langshan pullets

1 bantam Barred Plymouth Rock Cockerel (show quality, I just don't raise them)

1 bantam Lavender Ameraucana cockerel (maybe show quality...don't raise them)

1 Buff Orpington pullet (hatchery stock)

***I may add to this...haven't decided yet. If anyone wants these without the auction/swap format...I'm up for it! Just let me know and I'll reserve them for you!

Thanks, I can't take the credit for hatching the Call's. Their mom did all the work

. Here is a pic of the first one out. The rest have pipped but are not out yet

I will post some more pics tomorrow when they all are hatched.

Thanks! P.S. I have 40 duck eggs in my bator right now due to hatch in about 2 1/2 wks. They are a mix, Pekin/Mallard, and Pekin/Runner/Crested... The last batch came out adorable!
