Pennsylvania!! Unite!!



My windows are about 5 feet off the ground. Should they be covered with hardware cloth? My carpenters think I'm nuts, but we do have bear around here. And in the summer, I might be gone for a weekend and the windows would be open. What do you think?

Nice looking coop! Although I doubt hardware cloth will keep a bear out, yes, I would cover it. It will keep out other predators!

Yes to hardware cloth. It may not keep a bear out, but it will keep out raccoons, minks, rats, etc, etc...

Nice looking coop! As the others have said, I am also in the 'hardware cloth over the windows' camp. We even put hardware cloth over our eaves... nasty critters can find ways into about anything!
