and eli get with the program, us women like to talk about many things , all at the same time..

Are you thinking of buying? or selling at the Dragon? If you're not selling, the sale starts at 6:30. If you're selling, you really should have your stuff there at 3;30 to get a good price.

I will be there are 3:30, but doubt I can stay for the sale. :(

Ok, I'm at my wit's end. Bleu is sick AGAIN. I've quarantined her twice before, and she seemed to get better, but last night (in the rain) when I went to lock up, I noticed her huddled under the ramp to the coop. I picked her up and tossed her in, figuring she was just cold and wet. Well, today, I go out to the coop, and she's huddled just inside the door. I finally just picked her up and brought her in. I gave her a bath, as she was just disgusting. She sat perfectly still for it. Her feathers EVERYWHERE are broken. I had thought the ones on her back were from the boys riding her too much. But now I'm not sure. I checked her for mites and lice, she's clean. Gave her some liquid vitamins and she drank a tiny bit of water. Wrapped her in a towel, and put her on my chest while I lay here this afternoon. The cat then climbed on top of her and fell asleep too...ok that was kind of funny. She stayed wrapped in the towel all evening while we went out (had to, had chiro appointments, and it's DH's birthday) Came home and gave her water and she drank and drank. I offered her some oatmeal...but all she wanted to do was drink the water. Noticed this evening that she's not opening the one eye at all. Now I have her wrapped in a fresh towel.

Ok, ideas on what's wrong with her? Is she just at the bottom of the pecking order and therefore not getting food/water? I have noticed that when she eats (like when I throw treats) she sits down to eat. So whatever is right in front of her, she has access to, but since I throw all over the yard, the others are running from place to place and getting more. What should I do for her beyond what I'm doing? I moved the barred rocks out of the quarantine cage and into the little coop inside the big coop, so once I get it cleaned out tomorrow, I can move her back out there....or should I keep her in the house for a bit?

Quoted my original post to bring it forward so I can get some ideas. She has since eaten some oatmeal and drank lots of water. Should I give her some more liquid vitamins?

At first glance, I think girl. It's always easier when you are comparing them to other chicks the same age, but I see no wattle development.

Looks like a pullet but with that coloring (looks like porcelain) I'm leaning more toward guessing it to be a d'Uccle. I have 1 identical to it from Rural King out of the mixed banties.
Thank You guys! Whatever she is, she is just about as sweet as could be! Loves to cuddle!!!

Time to get out the fish net!

I have been known to wear my jammie pants to the store when I had to run out for something in a hurry. That does NOT mean I'm dirty. It just means that was the 1st CLEAN pair of pants without holes in them that I happened to find in a hurry. I have a lot of holey work clothes that are MUCH worse than my jammie pants, trust me on this 1. Be glad I took off the holey pants covered in chicken & duck crap I had on before finding the clean jammie pants!!! I'm sure you would be MUCH more offended if I was walking around Wal-Mart covered in poop because I didn't take a couple minutes to hose off & grab clean clothes on my run out the door in the middle of cleaning coops or doing the feeding or building coops!!!

X2...If my cloths are clean & cover everything they need to I'm good. I don't give a rip if someone doesn't like my Tweety jammie pants or not. It's my butt & they don't have to look if they don't want to.
I tried it she dodges it every time, I'm not as fast as I used to be.
I'm similar with clothing, as long as it's clean and doesn't have holes it's fine for a quick run to the store. If I know it'll be a drawn out trip (or during the day) I'll make sure they're "real" pants. I stopped caring as much about how I look for quick stops when I had my son, especially after the first few late night runs for medicine.
