Wow! Incredible! I am very envious.
what can i say, i like food and my mil was quite the gardner, she taught my husband how to prepare the garden and plant, but most important, WEED, i don't mind planting the seeds, the thinning but i sure do hate bending over to pull weeds.

we went to the auction today, i bought two whole trays of petunia's,( a dollar a tray) now i have to find a place to plant them lol, and if that wasn't enough, the guys in the ring broke off a piece of a petunia, they threw it out of the ring, so my husband grabbed it for me, going to try to start it

Blarney,,,
Let me know if you have any of those little boys left over,,,and if we could work out a deal (  straw, barley, wheat, corn...my first born )

Your first born? Bwahahaha! I think I know what kind of swap that would be. How bout you take my 22 yr old who lives here for free, hasn't touched the vacuum for years, and I'll throw in the goat for free?

Stake, those pampered bitties don't come for ya? Try shaking the treat container (scratch, meal worms, ect) before giving it out. Then any time you need them in, shake it. They should come. Mine do.

Your fence looks really good! I wonder if he had some mechanical device to help dig the holes for the posts..................those post digging tools are really a bear!
Lisa, so true. My oldest was here today, checked out the fence and said, 'remember digging the fence holes by hand at the old house?" Ummm…no. But I remember watching them dig it. I do a lot of things myself, fence hole digging is not one of them. DH and I are not as young as we used to be, so he did get himself some kinda thing-a-mabob to dig the holes. He did have the manual post hole digger out there to adjust height, and paid for it each night with back pain. Yes, he is my hero.

Aunt Kat, YAY!!! So glad to hear this fence may just work. I thought about letting Houdini out and sending a picture to DH saying she jumped the new fence. Sometimes I'm just a little evil. But I do need a place to lay my head, so I didn't do it. Plus my oldest wouldn't let me.

Well, I've gotten 3 eggs from my new 15 (which isn't bad considering one might be a male and I don't think the other 3 New Hampshires are old enough to lay yet AND they had a 2+ hour drive from their home to mine yesterday afternoon).

Question though...their eggs are rough. My eggs are smooth. I also have a few breeds...so I don't think it's a breed thing. Think it's stress or were they not feeding them well?

Also, how long does everyone quarantine for?

Thank you all.

Just to prove I take pics of things other than my chooks…here is my grandson and one of the new babies:

Oh my goodness. Ours were just born earlier this year and they look HUGE compared to these little fuzzies! Your grandson's face is just precious!

Yeah, they are all back in the yard and three (of six) are clipped...they're all giving me the stink eye at this point....the BO's usually come running to greet me and the others follow....if the BOs arn't in the mix they approach but stay just out of reach....(even for treats at this point)....I show them the mason jar and make a clicking sound...its just another folly....

Best rental money spent is on a bobcat with an auger attached....
