One JG just began laying today after brooding her chicks! The other is still trying to brood. One more just failed to hatch anything out. I expect her eggs to begin again in the next few days.

Ok, I have a non-bird related question. Gavin wants me to make the Christmas gifts for the female family members this year and I'm trying to figure out if I should go with afghans/bedspreads, socks, or something else. I'll be either knitting or crocheting the gifts and there are 4 nieces, 1 SIL, 1 MIL, 1 grandmother in-law, my mom and sister. Any input or ideas would be appreciated.

I think socks. I have afghans coming out my ears (very painful, I assure you!). Socks I think people can always use.

not sure how old the nieces are............but leg warmers might also be fun! or scarves................very trendy and stylish! have fun!
