My incubator is back in business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy. I have had such horrid luck this year hatching. I have 20/21 developing at day 10 woooo-hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I also quit feeding Purina. I only use there flock blocks. I needed something that was for more then laying, I needed a breeder mix. They are actually eating it. The Purina would get yucky. I feel like even though I am spending more per 50#, they are utilizing it better.

I need a Silver Laced Wyandotte cockerel. I do not want a hatchery bird. Preferably something that has an awesome pattern, type is second for me. I need a youngster because I need to make sure he will not be attacking my daughter! You can send me a PM.

Just a real quick update for all of you that sent your thoughts and prayer to my baby girl a few weeks ago. She is doing really well and the transplant is healing perfectly. There will always remain the possibility of rejection, but for right now, the doctor is thrilled. I think I notice her being more visually aware, but that could just be a mommy's wishful heart. We won't know if it helped her vision at all until she is healed and her vision can be retested. We have been going for twice a week check-ups in Pittsburgh since the surgery. He saw her today and said one more and he will be ready to allow us to see a more local (Altoona) doctor.

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who thought of her even for a little second. Support like that means the world to a very nervous mama!!

Oh that is great! I have been wondering how she is doing. Almost afraid to ask. That is quite a hike for you to drive???? Its a couple of hours right???

This afternoon, I went in to play with the chicks. The moment I walked in, I saw it like a bulls eye ... A pretty big comb for a pretty little girl. I looked around, and no one else is showing nearly that kind of growth. Looks like my 15 girls are 14 and a boy. He gets to stay as long as he behaves himself. This is why five out of six of the others are going away (as soon as the date stops getting changed!!). Roosters happen. He will be a beautiful adult. I am kinda looking forward to him maturing.
I would feel terrible if it were a fast(er) maturing girl. She will refuse to give me eggs if I am wrong!
