All are enjoying the tid-bits in the run...it is interesting to watch how the 3-new girls & 3-original girls will stay near their own-"sisters"..

We have decided to continue to use the "panels" from the smaller run as barriers for the big coop! (instead of just putting them away-storage). We are making more "Panels" and attaching them with Eye- hooks for easy entry and easy dismantling! We are doing things this way for better 'critter' protection & when it is really nasty out-(down pours), I wanted to make sure they had more room to move & still be protected from the elements/critters.
In the future($?), we will be constructing a permanent covered run. Right now the only thing up for protection is just some netting, it has worked very well so far, but we know it really won't keep anything out if it is intent on getting in there!
In the spring we will continue the fabrications(panels) and paint everything so it all looks "nice".

No more coop in the garden...

this is what I mean by getting dark too dang soon!!! it was only 5pm when I took this picture!!! It felt like it was 8pm!!! I hate day-light savings..what are we saving for again??!!

And just some random cuteness

..we had the g-baby for the weekend. She KNOWS where the COOKIES (oatmeal raisin) come from!!!

I gave up trying to keep that door clean!!

I'm not digging sunset at 5 either LittleMissPurdy, I don't even understand why daylight savings even exists. I've been doing most my work outside under spot lights because I got a lot of work to do, yet have only 1 hour of daylight when I get home. It's a lot harder working with lights though and it costs some $$$$ having spot lights on

My husband's family is all in eastern Ohio. Bloomingdale and Stubenville. And we've got a good friend over by New Philadelphia. So figuring out a way to make something happen wouldn't be too hard I don't think. We're supposed to be getting out that way some time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I wonder what my better half's reaction would be to bringing home chicks or hatching eggs on our trip. XD
