Some posts back I mentioned my interest in getting a food dehydrator and several people said get the Excalibur-----its the best...........just cost a bit.........or something to that effect. Well I have some more questions! If you have an Excalibur----- did you get the stainless steel trays or the plastic? how hard or easy are the trays to clean ? On another note...............went to the store to get more salt for tomorrows ice storm and many stores had only spring stuff out...............soil, seeds, patio furniture etc............. it was really hard to find the winter shovel and salt supplies!

On this note does anyone know of any good fruit roll up recipes for a dehydrator? Mine is a cheapie from Aldi's, but it does the job!

I want to remind everybody that the meeting for the Lebanon Valley Poultry Fanciers is on 2/13/14. We will be having a show in the fall the tenative date is 10/11/14. Please come to the meeting if you can. It will be held at the Lebanon County Extension Office, right by the Fairgrounds. You don't have to be from Lebanon County to be in our club. You also don't have to show. It is for any type of poultry, not just chickens. The membership fee is really reasonable at $5 per individual, and $10 per household. On another note, I just got my first nettie pot. I have used the shower water before to clear the sinuses, but holy cow! The salt water did the trick. I so hope I don't need antibiotics.

I know exactly what he is. He is 7/8th Cubalaya, 1/16th Dark Cornish and 1/16th Seabright. I had his parents, grandparents, great grandparents........ He has no Sumatra in him and he is single spurred.

That is awesome that you now his lineage. He is beautiful. I have a thing for the color blue. He is exquisite.
