I don't want to "count my poults before they are hatched" (or even conceived), but I've got 3 hens laying really well and a tom reserved for me that I just need to go get when the weather finally breaks, and an awesome incubator to compliment the 4th hen that is currently broody. I really hope I have a lot of poults this spring.
The hens are mottled blacks and the tom is a royal palm. The genetics are such that they will throw 50% RP's (not inbred at all) and 50% black mottleds (what we really want more of they are spectacular, IMO).
So, I can't promise anything, but I'm hoping.
