Did I forget to mention our eggs always seem to be early??  I always thought it was the broody! Oops! LOL

That is so cool!!  Can't wait to see how long it takes them all!

Well I'm kind of relieved. I was a little nervous that 2 were pipped and one wiggling ferociously. I've heard of some hatching Day 18 though.

They will be fine... Gracie always had chicks by day 20, and most of the other broodies have done the same with at least a few out a 'day' early. The early ones will make lots of noise to encourage the later ones to get their fuzzy butts moving.

DEVASTATED!!! I was just giving my little one (the tiny one that was on the mend) some molasses water with a dropper and it was fine. I checked its vent to make sure it was clear, and it wasn't. As I was trying to clear it, I didn't realize I had put any pressure on its neck, the next thing I know its limp and bubbles coming out its mouth. I think I broke its little neck. I am so sick, I can't even believe I killed it. It was getting better ten minutes ago, and now its gone. I feel horrible.

And I have PSSA's tomorrow literally ALL DAY. From 8 AM to 2 PM. That's 6 hours. And after we finish we're not allowed to do anything. No reading, writing, or anything. That includes sleeping. Do they think we'll dream the answers to the next test? If we're tired we may as well sleep to recharge for the next round of tests!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I sympathize with you. My last batch of chicks, I had one just like that. She was smaller than the rest, was struggling and would just lay there and cry if she got knocked over. I was giving her vitamins orally and cuddling her and She too was getting better and started eating and drinking on her own. But then, a day later, she died along with the rest of our chicks when the dogs broke into the brooder.i was devastated.i still miss her and you will miss yours but you can't beat yourself up for it. It just makes it hurt more. Take some deep breaths and a couple days.
