Ok so i put some feed in a bucket and fill it up with water, i then let it sit for a while and occasionally stir it, then when all the water is absorbed i fill it up again until it is a few inches above the feed, i keep doing this until no more will be absorbed, (still occasionally stirring) i then leave it for 24 hours and it will be ready to use? How much do i use per chicken i have 13 so how much would i use

In the beginning, they will eat a lot more while their bodies adjust to the feed. Then you should see the feed bill be cut in half.

This is like going to the bar and asking your friends why they let you have one more drink...:lau
Lol!
You go girl! I am jealous! How old are your sweet birds now?

lol! My babies will all be 6 weeks old on Saturday except for my two two bantams, Chip and Cookie. They're going to be 7 weeks old on Saturday :) they grow so fast!

I took pity on them last night :/ their first night out in the garage and it was cold last night so I left their heat lamp on. They're used to sleeping in our bedroom where it never gets below 65° at night. I wasn't sure if I should leave it on or off. I always turn it off at night but it was like 25°overnight so I left it on for them. Liked like they still snuggled up for bed and they were all still good this morning lol. Am I a worry wort lol. Should I just turn it off at night?

I would give them the heat if it drops below freezing, but not otherwise. I have 3-7 week old chicks & 1-3 week old ducklings in the garage right now with no heat, but there are 20+ birds per cage. My older group also gets pitched outside every day as long as it's not pouring rain. I made them a day-pen (not predator proof & no coop, just netting & tarp) to have some room to run around in & not be so crowded in my cages all day. I'm running out of space!!!

I had no luck selling extra eggs on auction,,
Anyone here interested in the extra eggs from Friday, sat, sun...can ship Monday morning...make offer and price of shipping..

On average it would be
2 eggs a day from the white scovy pen
4 eggs a day from the bantam Cochin pen
3-4 eggs a day from the white bresse pen ( this is the pen that the purity is in question, I found a bantam Cochin too in here, but I doubt the big boys would of allowed anything)

I can nt set anymore and I hate eating the purges.

I sent you a PM, I am interested in incubating your extras and I found a way to get them from you to me

So how many have plans for green dragon on Friday,,,,please,,,,,no enabling....I have no space for isolation pens right now.....and hubby will be there, so that helps...usually...

I will be the idiot with either colorful knee high waders on or bright neon green crocks,,,I have no extra shoes right now so it will have to be easily washable shoes....and barely moving due to bloat from eating to much, may just have to wear sweats.

Or have hubby bring the wheel barrow to haul you around in.

I must admit that hubby is the one that needs stopped right now.
Remember the 37 white rock from TSC, well they moved from my basement to the outside pen last weekend, when I came home from work last night, I found a note attached to my chair that said....went to TSC and they have a large bin of birds left over that are feathering and jumping out, you might want to get the downstairs bin ready.......need to research how many weeks till I can process rocks
