Well, I decided I need a better hatcher, so I ordered a 150 qt cooler from Walmart, the exact one that Sally got to make her awesome incubator. I've got some ideas about how to build it out, my main concerns are about cleaning it (needed often when hatching every week) and ensuring enough ventilation.

I need it finished in about 2 weeks to handle the next big influx of chicks hatching.

no, just sleeping in my boat.....had to make a run through RP on my way home....flooding everywhere...water over the curb at Ridley municipal building.....an awful day...

What happens when you put two chicken addicts together?  Does that actually happen?  Hubs helps with the work but not sure he is very into them.  I can only imagine a couple with the same interests!  That could be deadly!  ha ha ha 

There's more than 1 chicken nut at my house...& no one to stop us...lol

It looks like the finished product will be a chicken castle. The progress that's being made is looking good, keep it up and soon those chicks will be living in luxury.

I hope everyone managed to stay somewhat dry today. I can't wait for the rain to stop. Both my boys have the stomach flu and everyone is stuck in the house. I can't wait for some nice weather again! I think I am turning into a fish.

For the first time all winter long, I can say " I really do not feel good, and just want to go to bed ". Yea, that's not gonna happen...
