x3!

they do not however appreciate getting run over by the lawnmower b/c you forgot to pick it up last fall and it got covered and hidden by the foot tall grass in the chicken tractor field.....

That one is still useable -- just looks like someone took a bite out of one side and left about a 1" lip. I usually set the baby chicks waterers in it to keep them a little cleaner.

I have a question... I hunt and can shoot an animal with a bow or gun and eat it but I can't bring myself to kill a chicken to eat. Any way to get over that? I know it sounds ridiculous lol

It doesn't sound ridiculous at all... in fact there is a thread on here which basically was started for this reason. Sally Sunshine started it over a year ago and it is still active with those of us who have processed still helping folks who are starting.... it is now a very long thread, but it is very informative and if you read the first 2 months or so of it you will probably get most questions answered, those you have and those you never thought to ask!

So far I have 3 little Golden Laced Wyandotte chicks with my broodie. She is still sitting on 6 more eggs, including 1 silkie egg. She is so happy.
