When this all happens...may have some questions for you...and that goes to & for anyone else on hear that I see has them...mmwwahahahaahaaaa....seriously, he is getting excited about the whole idea..he has found some very, ummm..interesting things to do with their little extras

and he is looking forward to the extra /different meat in the freezer. Just looking for "free" ways to get things set up in/for the spring...cause the wallet rules and we got to get through the cold first!

They are very cold hardy. I started in the February last year, no heart, open shed door all winter.

I'll save some starter stock for you!

I'm trying to be hopeful but the eggs were cold. I'm thinking that we may have lost them all. I want to candle tonight but they're all dark eggs. How long should I wait for them to hatch to give them a chance before tossing them?

I hope everyone is keeping warm. It's mighty cold out there this morning. Way too early in the fall to be so cold. I'm in a freeze/frost warning with a whopping 36 degrees this morning

If this is a preview for what winter will be I am not happy. Don't want to start burning wood so early.

Not much better here, and I'm in SE PA a few minutes from the Delaware border. The normal low this time of year is 50 here, but it went down to 39 last night. We'll be lucky if we don't lose most of our herbs this year because I'm not going to have time to get them all in the house until almost two weeks from now
