Welcome to the minority, male, that is! There are a few of us here.
With those breeds you might be popular here. Hope you have roosters so some of them are fertile!
Primarily orpingtons and SFH here.

As of right now I have an EE Rooster. Possibly Black Silkie Roo a Porcelain Roo and the BLRW Bantams are a week old yet.

You can probably get by without the feeder in the tractor s long as they have plenty of access to feed. Remember, nighttime doesn't count, they're asleep. Seriously. I have birds that like to get out of the run and forage all day, but when I bring feed and open the gate, they run right in for food.

I would recommend some sort of small feeder to give them choices. A rubber bowl works fine, they sell them at TSC.. A number of us use them exclusively. Both feed and water. Come winter you'll appreciate them. And they last year's.

Ditto, I have a feeder in both my pens with a bowl of water....I also have two bowls of feed and two bowl of water in two spots in the yard...anybody chased of one spot can always find another...those black rubber TSC bowls work really well....
