Information is scarce on this matter! We know the effects of calcium in humans and other animals so we can take a pretty good guess what will hppen to a rooster when he doesn't use exta calcium to poduce shells. Although, I believe that the damage is done from long term exposure.

As for feeding, I agree, theres no perfect answer, do what works for you!

Looks like you figured it out (your avatar was turkeys before, right?) I should really change mine too... sadly only 3 of my original flock remains. I should update my photo with some of my new ladies or maybe my tom (Chester Copperpot), I might have a good picture of him already.

I did! I had to do it though the website. You cannot do it on the app. Ya, turkeys! Hoping to get some turkey eggs to htch next spring!

I just updated my avatar to a picture of Pilgrim, my first ever baby turkey. He is very tame and I think he knows his name because he puffs up like this whenever I use his name when talking to the turkeys. Or maybe he's just "full of himself". He does have reason to be proud of his appearance, I think.

And now some baby pics of Pilgrim and his siblings (dated 2/24):
