Just wanted to say that I really like your Avitar, are they your birds?
As far as research on the matter is concerned I can't point you to any one specific source. I'm just going off what I've read and heard from others. Yes you are correct there is no one perfect answer. As I'm sure people have done it both ways for a long time and have had great success.
Sorry everyone I'm hogging the thread up. I just can't take it these little peeps are hilarious. ...

Sadly, no! I wish! I cannot figure out how to change it to my birds!
Looks like you figured it out (your avatar was turkeys before, right?) I should really change mine too... sadly only 3 of my original flock remains. I should update my photo with some of my new ladies or maybe my tom (Chester Copperpot), I might have a good picture of him already.
He is beautiful! Royal Palm?I just updated my avatar to a picture of Pilgrim, my first ever baby turkey. He is very tame and I think he knows his name because he puffs up like this whenever I use his name when talking to the turkeys. Or maybe he's just "full of himself". He does have reason to be proud of his appearance, I think. And now some baby pics of Pilgrim and his siblings (dated 2/24):![]()
