Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Those hawks are out in full force. I saw it nab one of my chicks today. Thankfully it got one of the roosters.

Yeppers, they've been cruising by for about a month now....had a bald eagle fly over this morning, but didn't stop to take a look....

@fisherlady Wow thanks for all the pictures. Maybe I'll have to wait another week or two to be sure lol. Your very first pixies, I panicked! That over achiever is really feathered! Both of mine are feathering slowly. The one looks like it may have tiny pink wattles and the other seems has a few tiny penciled feathers on her chest so we'll have to wait and see just s bit longer :)

Sorry you lost one...I am so thankful we have lots of trees, it helps give them overhead protection.

We have a fair amount of coverage too. This hawk came out of nowhere, I saw it happen. They hid for hours after that.

Love your pics by the way!

My new BR was dropped off yesterday. She arrived mid molt so she looks terrible, but I was pleased tonight she found her way into the coop by herself. Will post pics soon!

Woohoo went out to check on the girls this morning and found two eggs. The first ones they've laid. I think they were laid Thursday and Friday because I didn't check on them than. I think it was one of the black australorps that laid them both. Will try and post a pic if I can figure it out from my phone.

Congrats! BAs are known to be good layers, so would not be a surprise if she did both. Enjoy your breakfast in the morning!

Congratulations! I agree with Fisherlady, your BA will be a great layer of nice large eggs!
