The turkey hens that went broody were a bust. Inexperience or something, the eggs went very bad at the end.

The Reese Legbar eggs are on day 8 and I candled 4 of them. Blue eggs are harder to see much, but they looked pretty good so far.

Best Wishes for your Mom! I've been amazed at how resilient the human body can be and it sounds like she's on her way to recovery, even if that takes a while.

   I'm sorry to hear of your trials in this life, but it is good to hear that your mother is improving.

I'm so sorry. I lost my Mom over 10 years ago and I still miss her, life is never the same after a parent is gone. It did make me want to enjoy more fully the time with those I still had with me.

What kind of ducks will you have? DH had Pekins for pets when he was little. We haven't finish our chicken coop yet, now he starts talking about converting a dog house to duck house. We will not be able to make a pond next year. Maybe the year after will be a good time.
