Oh Tilly, so sorry. I'm glad she has you to care for her.
I had a singleton chick hatch this weekend. I sent her to a different farm that had a recent hatch so she wouldn't be alone, unfortunately, she wasn't accepted by the chicks at this other farm and is badly injured. They pretty much scalped her. She is now back on my counter top, she has a few stuffed animal friends, and doesn't seem very interested in eating or drinking. I dip her beak every time I pass that way. Poor little thing. She was peeping her head off last night after I picked her up, this morning she's not as vocal. I can't figure out if that's a good thing or not. Sometimes I think, 'oh good, she's settled', and then I think, 'oh no, she's dying.'
Oh no! Poor little thing! Hope she pulls through for you
@TillyPeeps I hope everything works out and she's just fine.
So, hubby may kill me tomorrow....he didn't mind last week when I picked up 6 chicks at TSC since my daughter was in love with one of them but I have no excuse today. A guy, in the next town over (10 minutes away) had bantam polish chicks for $2.50. I couldn't resist and picked up two lol

Next time you run into her give her a big 'hello' for me, I do miss her here, but understand sometimes life gets in the way...I ran into wingstone about a month ago. She's been very busy with work, animals and family issues.
Thank YOU! I may just take you up on that... I haven't had any blue layers in a while and I will be up your way next Tuesday AND Wednesday! We really should move to Montco as we are there ALL the time for 4-H.If you need a buddy for your chick, I can always spare a chick or 2.

Also....the little chick is really doing well. She ate on her own and has been vocal and walking around a bit. Haven't seen her drink on her own, but I keep dipping her beak. Sweet little thing.
I can't sleep without telling you guys! I got a message from LittleMissPurdy about two hours ago!!
She is doing okay, and should be back on here as soon as possible.
It's funny that Stake comes back, and now she's back! A few others have been MIA, and have returned. I would say it's because it's spring, but I know that a lot of people have just had busy lives this past year and it's just now clearing up.
