Well, nothing better than a loaded bater.....had a care package from Fisher arrive last evening and my Red Dorkings arrived this morning....(I may need to build another coop???)

I was hoping the timing would work out when you said you had ordered the dorking eggs....I will be interested in seeing how you like the dorkings.

Fisher:
Two of my original 6 girls were SG Dorks...I really like the breed...very calm and talkative...if the hatch goes well, I'll have a few extras to throw your way!

Sounds good, I hope you have a good result with the SPR...I hate to say it but I think I need to begin replacing my girls. I will probably keep 3 or 4 promising ones from this spring and move the older gals to the egger pen where they can continue their broody ways. I just don't like changing flocks around much when they seem very settled and happy where they are.
Right now I have 2 molting and one broody in the SPR coop, so egg production is down and it takes a few days to get a good set. Thankfully we did have 13 new SPR hatched last week so by mid summer should have a few to choose from.
