one of my hens went broody and i need advice she is in my main nesting box so i put wire at the entrance to keep others out..but they dont know where to lay there eggs..is it possible to move the hen with out disturbing her broodiness?

she went broody last night and is still on the 2 eggs under her right now and my shamo chick managed to get in the nesting box last night and is under her wing so she has a shamo month old chick and 2 eggs under her atm

Ok well when my hens go broody and need moved a few days in I give her a bun of eggs and golf balls and it makes them happy when they get what they want so you can move her and her eggs at night you can put her in a box with lots of bedding in the garage or something and put her eggs, her chick and what ever else you want to give her and see what she does she souldnt move if she has lot of eggs well mine never has so idk it can be different for you and maybe others. So it's your call unless you just let her there and take an old crate or box and put some straw or something in it on the coop floor for them to lay.

Hey everyone! I do not live in pa but live very close to the mason Dixon line. The closest towns to me are Hanover and littlestown. I wanted to let everyone know that I have a Silkie rooster to sell.

He is very nice and very curious. However I must tell you that he is not normal because he has no feathers on his feet what so ever.

Wow I like those they are pretty birds lucky. How many would you have left if Lehighcounty4-H takes what he is interested in. But I might also be getting some Cochins to start breeding so Ifk if I would still be able to get some of these or not.

RR:

I had a hatch of nine, I really only need three, they are straight run, don't know how that impacts you or Lehigh, if you are interested, the first person who PMs me and wants them gets them....
