X2 That could work out well..... I miss wingstone :hit
X2! Miss her too.
Turns out my three grey chicks are a trio. I think I will be keeping the cockerel. I want to know what they produce. Didn't you say that this year is the first year for grey chicks, Fisherlady?
They are so gorgeous! I hope the lady I have the chicks too get some that are as beautiful.

Welcome to the fun!

I'm a little concerned the one with the prominent comb is a cockerel. Opinions?

I think I'm wanting to start with pullets in order to start getting eggs quicker. I'll hand raise some chicks next year after we're up and going. Any tips on where I can get pullets instead of chicks? I'm in Pittsburgh area. Thanks!!!

How many are you looking for? I have some that are about 6-8 weeks old. Most of them, I can tell if they're pullets or cockerels. They're ameraucanas and easter eggers. I'm near Patton, PA

I agree with your concern....it certainly looks male at the angle you have pictured. It also looks lighter than the bird beside it, often with BR the males are lighter than the females (if they are from the same breeding stock)

I wasn't even thinking BR, since I do have the barred mutts. The female BR babies have feathered feet.
@Chaos18 isn't that what Joey said?
