Met up with DH last evening to get a brooder mate for my lone hatchling....

had a fox attack this am....13 babies taken out of my grow out pen(9 of Fisher's SPRs and 4 Red Dorks), just bought all the materials to secure it yesterday morning and was going to do it today....

So in trying to be a good chickie Mama, I had set up a dust bath pan - has a mix of firewood ash, DE and backyard dirt in one of those plastic sink tubs? I go out last night and see my two NHR in like a yin yang position under the coop space, 2 or 3 inches down in the poopy dirt, happily dusting themselves. So much for that!

Here's my newbies: CCL(lighter) and Welbar(darker)...any opinions on the sex of the CCL???
