My first EE egg!! Darker blue then my CL hen. Both leghorns are laying now too! Now have 6 hens laying and 3 pullets laying. 3 more pullets should be joining the club anyway and then 2 Gold Stars are a few weeks behind.
I'm regretting not having a bigger coop as I'd like a Maran or two. (Plus I think my fifteen is over the township limit...

it can take awhile for them to actually lay...even though she is teasing you.

Thelma is squatting too, not holding my breath. It will happen when it happens. Louise is the same age, she is not doing as much as Thelma and she a a bit smaller.
I am going to be doing "hen checks" tomorrow..making sure everyone is all good-all over. Will take the time to check out duo's leg-spacing(pelvic area)..that sometimes helps you figure out how close they are to laying, vent size & overall condition.
It is hard to be patient when the 'play' with you like that...hang in there!!
 
cleaning the coop out this morning, always have "helpers". ..the bar.rocks are gad to oblige..
Don't know if this is a sign of laying being around the corner, but they were BOTH eating very intently from the shell-cup (calcium).
Fingers crossed it won't be too long

Was a great morning here also, unfortunately I was just getting home from work at 0745, so not my preferred way to enjoy the morning.
Broodies are busy escorting their chicks all over and Jeckle even brought hers into the mud room to beg for treats!
