Well it turns out Jaebels was not laying. Must have been Rory - who is now laying normal sized eggs. Jaebels was in the people area of the back yard - sitting on a wicker basket. Right next to an olive colored egg. I had thought maybe she was half Ameraucana because of the fluffy cheeks. Now I know she is. Half Marans, half Ameraucana. Maranaucana?

What breeds are you looking for? I'm not too far (Pottstown, northern Chester Co).
There is a feed store in the York area that advertises a lot of chicks of different breeds on craigslist. It's still a little early for many of the feed stores to sell chicks. Pughtown Agway has chicks, but only because I'm supplying them, shipping can get dicey if the weather turns cold, so most stores wait a few more weeks.

Safeguard is a great wormer. The goat formula is the common choice, but cattle is okay too. Look it up on BYC for the dosage.

Thanks! We'll have to grab some next time we go to Tractor Supply! Are there any other medications I should give to my chickens to make sure they are all as healthy as can be?

So does anyone in the Erie area have a New Hampshire Red rooster they're looking to rehome? I'm trying to get rid of our aggressive rooster and would like one to replace him. I don't want to wait a few months for my chicks to finally grow old enough. I had to go outside to clean up and the nasty rooster wouldn't stop attacking me

ETA: I'll also take a friendly Rhode Island rooster. Thanks!
