Who wants to start a pool for when and how many eggs she puts under her broody?
Anybody want "never" ?
... didn't think so.

If you are in this area, I have Bielefelder eggs. They aren't hatching well for me in the incubators, but last summer the broodies did a bang up job hatching Biels for me.

Haha! Oooo! I was going to ask about bielfelder eggs but I assumed you wouldn't have enough! I will be in Pottstown next weekend. Saturday afternoon/evening. Will you be at the farm? Any chance I could get a couple Lavender Am eggs also? :lol: You know I'm a good repeat customer! :lol:

Haha. I am in lockdown, I think! Yesterday was day 18, so they are due to hatch Tuesday, I think. I am keeping the humidity closer to 55%, but I will bump it up tomorrow for sure. The broodys a good size, but it's her first time. Thankfully, she is gentler than the last one and hasn't tried to amputate my fingers!

Okay, a friend asked me if I would sell him some hens in lay. I know he has a wife and 4 month old baby. They are try to eat better by having chickens, although it is now a hobby too, of course!

So as a favor, I am selling him a few birds for $10 a piece. Looks like I will have plenty of layers with these broody girls. And someone take away this incubator! :weee
