Who has hatching eggs for sale? I'd like to give my broody a few that aren't from my hens. Looking for anything besides brown eggs layers.

I have mixed breed eggs available or turkey or muscovy duck. I did have my breeds seperated but they all decided that they were done for the season and broke out of their pens the other day. I'm assuming if I have you all blue eggs you'd get all blue and green layers from them lol.

Welcome from Cambria county!

Caught this critter on video last night... hoping to catch it in a trap tonight.

Where are you located? We should try to find someone close. I have loads of extra hatching eggs right now, if you happen to be withing driving distance of Pottstown or King of Prussia.

Received chicks from Sand Hill today, they are doing much better than the first batch that was severely chilled.

Hi everyone! Hope all is well. Been crazy busy lately and trying to catch up. Stupid weather is messing with my plans to move most of my chicks out to the barn unfortunately but hopefully soon. Our first spring in our new place and I am finding new things to love about the property. My husband has been reclaiming areas that were overgrown along creek and cleaning up our walking trails out back. There are apple trees everywhere!! It is so pretty right now!

Still trying to figure out if there is pruning or something we should be doing. My broody Muscovies are doing great as well as my Bantam girl although I'm having a hard time keeping everyone off of her!

Had two of them kick her off today. Upside my EEs are laying great now and one of my barnyard mixes must have some EE because I'm getting an extra colored egg every day.
My poor little goat Ford isn't doing very well and I had to separate him from Stetson because hes to rough and Ford keeps trying to get away from him and getting stuck in bad places. Going back to vet Fri. Hopefully a different antibiotic will help. Probably photo bomb tomorrow!

Haha! Like I said, I think my girls are treated too well and they are comfortable enough to try and raise a brood. I will keep you posted on the progress. I am figuring with 4, possibly 5 broodies, between the chicks they hatch and the incubator babies, they should all get a few.

You always get such interesting breeds! When are you getting rid of your Bieles permanently?

Hopefully this will break my turkey from being broody. We'll see if she's a good mama, but if not, I know I have some willing adopters.
Haha, I thought I had observed that behavior in the Wellbar who has now gone broody (and her eye is completely back to normal,). I think they are just playing follow the leader now... So thankful Dheltzel and Aurora gave me a bunch of eggs! Now what to do with all of those chicks...

How are the eggs in the bator looking? Have you candled yet?

What is the "chicken train" so many are talking about?

Every now and then, @emorems0 travels across the state to visit family and is kind enough to transport birds and eggs around to anyone who can meet along her route. She's our very own, Pennsylvania chicken train :)

I am going to candle tonight. So excited! I get to candle inside, and then candle the eggs under the broodys! :p

Adorable! I have some of her LargeFowl in the bator now and a few under a broody. There's some Javas mixed in too.

Dhetzel eggs are progressing nicely... pulled all the clears between the 2, and if all goes well, i will be overrun.
