Here is a picture of the fox. My husband took this picture from the back porch. As you can see, he is chewing on one of my girls in the picture.. This was a picture from last Thursday, not a new attack, btw.

It's hard to tell from this distance, but he looks very healthy, no mangy. So hopefully I will get a nice pelt out of him.

The rock/boulder on his left side is probably about a foot tall, so that gives you an indication of how big he is. He is holding his head down to grab the chicken.

In other news, the injured girl Strawberry continues to improve. :)

Thanks! What does it mean?

Okay we are getting snow in the eastern end of the state today. We’ve got about 2-3” so far and lots of wind.

The chickens were still in the coop even though their door was open. I was able to herd the turkeys back in there also. I will let them out this afternoon, when it stops coming down. They have a light in there, and hopefully, they are not having fights in there.

We didn't get much snow but the constant 20+mph wind is incredibly harsh. I checked on everyone this morning, but decided to keep them cooped up. They haven't gone outside lately anyway due to their fear of snow and are quite spoiled with their shed. I have a flock block in there to help with boredom, and a solar light as well, so hopefully everyone is behaving! (Reasons why I need a coop cam ;))

Yep, that's our Anne! :hugs

Hi everyone! I am in Bucktown, PA (right neat Pottstown), and just wanted to say hi! :)

I have been keeping chickens for almost 10 years now, and currently have a mixed flock (mainly Ameraucanas). I am also incubating some Bantam Cuckoo Polish eggs now, and will be setting a bunch of my own eggs for an Easter hatch.

Hope you are all staying warm on this windy & snowy day!

Aw, thanks! I always feel like I get so much more out of this website than I have contributed!

Welcome! Our own @dheltzel is right near you in Pottstown and sells some lovely varieties. If you “need” more, he usually has his incubators running. Those bantam polish sound adorable. Do you have any pics of them?

Very true, technically I live in Bucktown, but I say Pottstown because no one outside the area knows where Bucktown is. My older chickens are all at a farm in East Coventry.

Too funny! We are basically neighbors! :) I am right by OJR high school. What color Ameraucanas do you have? Will check out your site in a sec. I do want to get some new Amers for this year! Probably more lavs/black splits, but may be interested in BBS too.

I don’t have pics of the polish, they were shipped eggs, but will deff take a bunch once they hatch *fingers crossed*!

Just checked your site out! I would be interested in Lav/split Amers and maybe a few Olive Eggers! Possibly hatching eggs too if you aren’t currently hatching chicks. I cant figure out how to message you on here, but let me know how to reach you to place an order :)

I can see the stadium lights of OJR from my front porch.

I have these colors of standard bred Ameraucanas:
Black
Lavender
Silver
Silkied (Lavender and soon blacks)
Bantams - Lavender and maybe silvers if my pair comes through :fl
