Two blue eggs today. They do have a greenish but not olive tint to them. What lays true blue? I think one is Mabel's - she's part of the original 2014 flock. Her eggs are somewhat enlongated, sometimes downright cigar shaped. Or like Hey Arnold's head. The other one was smaller.

**Well now, don't tell me you haven't seen the fine print in the Animal Husbandry contract!
It specifically states that you are responsible for educating all your poultry to the "birds & Bees. A sit down might be in order, let us hope he just falls into line & copies the ducks..well not literally copies them, but , well, you know what I mean!

I cleaned the quail brooder again. They sure do poop a lot!
I’m hoping to get the 5-week-olds outside tomorrow. I have straw now, so I can clean the coop, and put up a wall to keep them inside, and warmer.

no, not anymore danielle but if we ever stop being snow birds, will have at least one more but living in fl for the winter makes it hard for me to have animals anymore, i have to farm out my chickens, pay a friend to keep them til we get back
but anyway, i had a pure dexter cow that i broke to milk, boy was her milk good, her pure 1 year heifer calf, and she dropped another heifer calf(the half dexter,half highland) plus a mini white face bull, i loved that bull, he was such a sweetie, he was my favorite of all of them makes me to think i had to get rid of them
maybe one day

knowing how hard it is when we get close to animal,
yet we still can't help ourselves.
we are going to be getting another snow storm this weekend...nice thing about Florida, you don't have to shovel sunshine, enjoy your warm weather Sharron, you deserve it.
