I actually thought I heard it peep as I was uncurling it. I’m sure it came from the living room, but I still took my time, and even rubbed its head to check.

Today is a much calmer day in the brooder. I say that as a chick is peeping loudly at the one that just pecked it.

They are cuties, some look australorp, which is remotely possible because we did have an australorp roo who was 2nd in command for years....

That is funny. When I began eight years ago, I wanted Australorp. I just never got them.

Had the vet out yesterday and so ultrasounds on 8 goats. All 8 are pregnant and due in January. If they all have the amount she saw in each tho I could have up to 19 babies born from this 1st batch of goats. I habe 8 more in with the bucks now for march babies.

A could of my turkey hens from this spring have been giving me eggs lately. I really didn't expect them to start laying for a couple more months! I have 5 eggs with dancing embryos due in 10 days and about 10 more eggs to be set today
