We put a 1lb deli container (cheap clear plastic dish about 2.5" high) in with warm water and a wadded up paper towels sticking up out of it. Paper towels act like a wick and to increase surface area and being humidity up.
If you end up with too much humidity remove the paper towels to decrease the surface area.

Now I'm not so sure about the humidity. One sensor was reading 55 and the other 22. I need a new one I think lol

I have the chance to get an above ground pool. Is the PA law still no fence needed under 36” deep? Also, I was thinking of old bedding as free material to level out an area. Is there any downside to that?

My babies are 4.5 weeks old and quite feathery. Especially the lavender one is extra extra fluffy (and so pretty she is probably a boy.). I have a new "chick coop" and tiny run nearly ready for them, isolated from the bigger chickens. If I put them out with a 18x12 heat pad, at what age can I put them outside -- considering the weather we having right now? I do enjoy having them in the basement, but they seem very very bored. The minute I come downstairs they go wild with excitement. I think they need a new venue, but I don't want to freeze them to death.

Next Monday will be a decent day, but the night is at freezing. They should still be fine without heat, but I’d wait until Tuesday. It looks like the lows will be level (tonight is crazy!), and warm-ish.
