Hello! I am located right outside Lancaster county. We have a flock of bantam and large fowl Cochins from Jamie Matts. We are looking to find them new homes as we just are running out of space and want to focus on some new breeds! If anyone is interested, please let me know! Thanks!

Good luck to find a nice home for your birds!

My baby chicks are shipped! Somehow, there are 6 chicks instead of 5 in the box. I don't know what happened... Ok, I saw they had a Houdan pullet available, so I called to add one. Anyway, I'm confused about marek vaccine. Penn State website says it takes 4~7 days to work, Missisippi State says 2 weeks. And BYC says 3 weeks. I couldn't find any manufacture instructions. Is 2 weeks safe? If Sunny bacomes broody again, I wants to give her the chicks as early as possible so she would accept them.

I am very interested! I have a single cock from Jamie's stock and love his type and personality. I will PM you.

Those are philodendrons, a common and easily grown houseplant. They cannot survive winter outside, but do great outside in a shady place for the summer. They vine and hang and do well in hanging baskets, or draped over a trellis of some sort. very easy to propagate, just take 6 or 8 inches off the end of a vine, pull the lower leaves off and stick it in a glass of water on a windowsill. Pot up in a few weeks when they have a lot of roots, or leave them in the water and add some plant food every now and then.
Thank you!

Although, ugh. I'm not great with houseplants, and I don't have enough places to put all these, especially seeing now that they're toxic to pets. I might be able to find a shady outside spot for them this summer, and then toss them when the weather turns cool. I'd rather not, but there are 8! I guess I'll see if any local friends want them.

Before throwing them out check with local nursing home or personal care home facilities to see if they have any residents who would like them. Some may allow a resident to have a few windowsill plants that they can enjoy tending again.

They are not highly toxic. I have never heard of any pets getting harmed because they'd have to eat a lot. I suspect they taste bad too, which is probably the reason why the plant produces the chemicals, to reduce grazing.

As house plants go, they are among the easiest, which is why they are so popular. Ask your friends, I bet someone will adopt a few of them.
