Hello! I live about an hour outside of Pittsburgh. I have 3 Silkies, 3 Leghorns and 10 baby White Rock chicks. I'm going to incubate my first batch of mail ordered eggs this week. Its been one year since I got my first chicks from my teacher friend who hatched them for her class and now I'm a total chicken addict! My husband has to build a bigger coop ASAP! Just wanted to stop by and say hi!

Welcome from Southeastern Pa!!

Wow, there's still honest and great people out there on ebay,,,,,my white bresse eggs came already and instead of 12 there's 18 with a note that says good luck in starting your flock, sending extra's so you can share the hatch with others.

just the fact that someone took the time to put a hand written note in there is impressive

I think it's 10-2. Not a sweep, I think more of a meet unusual press sort of thing. I think some miniature horses or something and some other stuff. Don't know if anyone will have rabbits, if they do you can at least make a contact. Ice been tossing around the idea of meat bunnies, too. Occasionally some show up on CL. I can always just grab some info and pass it on to you.

Hello... welcome and it sounds like you have a great start going.

Welcome, you'll fit in perfectly around here!
Yep!

Sounds like a great seller/breeder. Hope you get a great hatch rate out of them!

Now if I can find some one who is really knowledgeable about Ameracauna's, I can figure out whether my last hatchlings who are now 10 weeks old are male or female! Then I can go back to hoping and praying that my neighbors aren't complaining to the township, grrrr.
I've been breeding Ameraucanas for a handful of years!

Definitely not the master, but post some pics and let's see if we can figure it out!

I love their Antics! I'm sure you'll fit right in around here
He's been great

He has really favored the EEs and other smaller chicks, and has been kinda sticking with them. Stitch on the other hand has been trying to put EVERYONE in their place including the cornish x roo (that is probably 4 or 5X his size) and he usually succeeds. Except with the ducklings, they just stare at him as much to say "I'll sit on you"

. It's so funny, and he's been great with Gavin, and has been fairly tolerant of handling/cuddling.
I think I'll be making a separate run and building a smallish coop, something big enough for them and the cornish, then the the ducklings will get moved in to it once everyone's processed.
Oh my gosh, Stitch sure is a character!

Old english are usually like that though! I have a feeling that if he stuck around, him and my light sussex roo would've had problems. If you really like those guys, I'm sure I can find someone around breeding good quality BBS OEGB!

This happened to me when I ordered eggs too, bought a Dozen New Hampshire Reds and ended up with 15 new hamps, 1 light sussex, and 1 faverolle! Plus a note! People like this make up for all the crappy hatches and false advertising

Now I have a beautiful Light sussex, plenty of New Hamps and my beloved Beau the faverolle
