Hello and

Thanks !!!!
Welcome to the insanity! Map in my signature will show where most everyone is located
LMAO you're under the impression she even tries!
Thank you, I checked out the map and that is quite a list. You can add me now too if you want.
When you are new, you read a lot. For that reason alone, you will be helping others in no time. You may read something new that few of us here know, or you will read something we have forgotten.
Welcome to the chicken madness!!
Thank you. Ive been reading so much my head is spinning. I do a lot of my reading in the evening since the kids (3 & 5 yr old), vegetable gardening and my discus fish keep me busy. I would like to post some pictures when I get a chance of the chicks (cell phone camera just quite on me).

Well, going through a very hard time in my life. Life's pretty intolerable right now, I'm tired of constantly fighting with my dad about the state of this household. He's stubborn and listens to nobody. So I have a dilemma, my only option is moving to my mom's house, in a very cute but very suburban neighborhood. So I would have to sell most of my flock. This just sucks. My dad will probably keep the pullets (8 RSL, 2 BC Marans, 1 Cali Grey and 1 SS) and a rooster or two(Maybe Artie and Beau, or one of the polish). He'll also probably keep my flock of KCs, 2 drakes and 4 females (that's ok, I guess. One of my breeding pens will be intact) but the rest would have to go. So all of my Buckeyes, German New Hampshires, Various bantams and most painfully probably my goose Nonalee and my silkies Rory, Reggie, and Phred. I probably can't even take the silkies with me. This just all around sucks. Haven't decided what to do yet, but I don't want to have to keep living with my Dad's garbage. This just sucks so bad

Sorry, Family can be difficult at times. :(

IA few weeks ago I set up a display at tsc with a few chickens. Had a few of my juvenile SFH. people loved them! Seeing up again this weekend. Probably take a few of then, some orps, and.... Not sure yet. Not really there to sell, but I point everyone this way!
Supposed to be some pigs, rabbits, and dog rescue places there as well.
I've had a good year building my SFH flock. Next spring I should definitely be able to offer some for sale! May even have a few extras this year. I know I'll have roosters, lol.
My SFH hen went broody a grew weeks ago, so three are out, maybe more. I have now hatched 5 shipped and 14 of my own this year! Flock is up to 21, just need to wait for roosters to show and decide who stays.

I might be able to help you if you end up having to regime some of your birds. I have 10 1/2 acres for them to roam. Sorry you are going through a rough time. :(

I have some that are two weeks + - old... Let me know if you are interested.. Oh, does anyone by chance have SS (Speckled sussex) chicks or eggs that they might want to sell?

Barbiegirl, glad to hear no Lyme disease! :)

Cute chicks too... hehe :jumpy

I think I still have a speckled sussex roo left, but no pullets.

One of my SS hens decided to go broody, she is sitting on close to 20 eggs...... we will see what happens... would like to replace my SS roo. Guess it would be good to get some new unrelated stock...
