Daylight picture.... Roo or hen? Got as a chick in April labeled red New Hampshire. The problem I'm finding is the New Hampshire hens also have good size red combs and waffles.

Hard to tell, but I think they were close with Sussex before. Or maybe a Delaware. I'm not aware of any other breeds that look like that.
Looks like a columbian Wyandotte perhaps![]()
Daylight picture.... What breed? Got as a chick in April from a bin labeled "buff Orpington"... Think the bin was mislabeled.
Got it!!! A Delaware Chicken! **** just saw your post.. lol But the description fits
Another question. I have 5 roosters to chose from for my flock. 1 wellsummer, 1 Speckled sussex, 1 FBCM, 1 Olive egger and, 1 EE. The wellsummer is my moms and he is a big but very nice boy, takes good care of his hens. The speckled sussex is the one i have now. He is about 5 months old. Easy to work with, but aggressive to other chickens and really like to let them know he is top dog, doesn't seem to look out for his girls as much as the other roo's do. The FBCM is laid back and very pretty, perfect coloring and leg feathers. The olive egger is one of my sweetest chickens and takes good care of the hens. The EE is very nice and laid back as well, but i have seen him chase a hen or two... Choices choices..... This is for my layer flock. I hate to see them go to freezer camp, but i just can't keep so many boys.... Any one need a pet rooster? LOL
