I know tea tree oil has a lot of uses. What do you use it for with the chickens?

I have read that it can be used for healing cuts and leg mites in chickens. I'm gonna keep it on hand to see.

How creepy is this, I let the dog off her chain out the front about an hour ago to bring her inside. Just got up to have a smoke and let her out to pee - there is now a fast food drink cup on the gravel near the porch

it wasn't there when I brought her inside earlier as I would have seen it - would have had to have walked right by it. It couldn't have been thrown from a car going past as hubbys second work van would have been in the way and totally blocked it from any direction it could have been thrown, it hasn't been windy either so it didn't blow in - just did a window and door check and found one of the sliding glass doors unlocked that I locked earlier

Good thing our internal doors have locks and chains on them. Think i'll be sleeping with the tazer, knife and the key alarm for the car!!! Friggin odd!!!!!!!

Any chance a critter scampering by pushed it out from shrubs or under steps? How about the wind? If it was an intruder stupid enough to drop a drink cup on his (her?) way into a crime site, they would probably not be bright enough to get passed the locks. No worries, sleep tight.

I wanted to remind everybody that the Lebanon Fair is Saturday-Thursday or Friday. Open poultry show is Saturday, youth is Sunday. Hope some of you guys can make it!

Is this at the Lebanon County Fair Grounds? I wonder if we can fit that into the schedule....

Tea tree oil will kill mites. The chickens don't like the smell of it though. Sprayed the mites on the coop and the mites died.

Nope, today at 10am, and tomorrow. It says Open and Youth poultry show. The thing you are seeing, is actual poultry judging--the kids judge.

we like to go on thursday, the last day,,the vendors sell really cheap just so they do not have to haul things home,,,almost wish we still had the big gas hog truck..

Nope, no bushes at the house or stairs lol thats why I found it so odd - the cup stood out like dogs nuts and I was all ERRRRRR that should not be there!!!

Nothing happened for the rest of the night and I slept like a baby - then again by the time most of the lights were off the moonlight practically lit up the whole yard!
