Tried everything vitiamins putting her in s sling feeding her from a dropper 4x per day. She wasn't improving. Decided it was time to let her go. I just put her down and feel awful. It's terrible how attached I got to the little bugger in a week. Rooted for her to get better. Chickens get you right in the heart but I know it was time.

I am sorry to hear this, it is never easy to lose a chick. what you did was incredibly humane, it takes a lot of strength of character to put an animal down. I admire you.

So sorry your little girl didn't make it :0( Its very upsetting but you did the best thing by not letting her suffer and you did everything you could. Concentrate on the 4 peeps you have they will lift your spirits :0)

I am also sad for your loss.

If you are an animal lover..................its easy to get attached.............and its a good thing...............but then its sad when our animals get hurt.

I tend to consider my pets part of my family!

. Thanks everyone's or your kind words. I don't know why but it just really tore me up because she was just a chick. Didn't even get a fair shake at life. Thanks again.

I'm so sorry. I had to do the same thing with a chick we hatched. I cried like a baby. I took it harder than the kids! You did the right thing though.
