Blarney your pictures are worthy of framing...I would not get much done if I had those views...except lots of coffee drinking

Silkie, good luck on the move,,moving is never a fun thing for me, but I need to do it one more time..

Chelsea(I think). Great duck pics, careful on those injuries, they all catch up to you later in life...

Stake, sounds like a great way to improvise and use what is handy...

Any answers for those turkeys, thinking about grinding one of them and trying a sausage, any recipes for turkey sausage

Wing:

I never cooked a wild bird so I poked around and found some recipes for you....I did note that nobody mentioned brine...(I always do this) or doing a crock pot thing....

Silkie, so happy you found something. Hope it all works out! If I were closer I'd volunteer!

Stake, Preach! I thought a regular Lowe's Or HD trip was normal only because we are fairly new homeowners. Now I know it will never end, haha. At least we have both within a 10 minute drive.

Cskotek, your ducks are so cute! Love the pics, except maybe you boo boo eye, haha. Hope you heal quickly!

Does anyone else have snow predicted for tomorrow!? I'm hoping for a lot of snow this winter,I love it and I have a shirt driveway! :D

I don't lock my chickens up at night. Every morning I go out and they are waiting at the gate. I've learned to throw 2 handfuls of feed in the opposite direction of their bowls so that I can get in quick and get a few steps ahead of them. Unfortunately some of them have learned this trick and still stand in front of the gate lol. Chickens are smart. Hoping to have baby Cochins by friday. First time broody and she's doing an awesome job.
On another note, I have approximately 20 baby bunnies. Some should be ready to go next week if anyone is interested.

I have done the fling the feed & race to the bowl thing...lol It's actually the only thing that even remotely works once the birds are out of the coop. I have about 30 birds in the big coop right now counting chickens, turkeys & guineas so I fling as many handfuls as necessary in as many directions as possible to create a path into my pen.

My bantams & silkies took to the bunny bottles pretty quickly as did the few large fowl I used them with. The trick is to tap the ball that lets the water out so they see you & hear it rattle. They will come investigate the noise & try it themselves. Once you get 1 or 2 to try it the othets will soon copy them.
