Yep, I hatched all those. The northern pintails were shipped eggs and I managed to hatch 3 out of 5 eggs in my brinsea mini incubator. That was the most exciting hatch I've ever had lol. Pintails are gorgeous but boy were they flighty! Obviously so since they are a wild duck and nothing like domestics. Haven't had any other wild type bird since then. Think it'll be awhile till I dabble back into wild/ornamental birds. I'm back on a chicken kick right now

**Man, it was ..wait , IS so dang cold out there!!! The sky is soo clear though- beautiful..tons of stars! First year with the birds..trying to get a system for this frigid weather...I now know I have to get rubber-bowl for their water.
Trying to be careful not to crack/break these plastic ones when it is this cold is a nightmare!! ...might not be for "normal" people, but i am like a bull in a china shop...i try to be careful, that sometimes makes things worse though

we will make through this weather/season, just need to get into a 'new-groove' . Not doing the heated water thing...no electricity & don't really want to deal with that aspect right now either.

**MC- had no-idea warm/hot water freezes faster than cold...wow..

...okay. Might have to bring the FF inside, will see if the cooler is still working tomorrow morning. ..These old farm houses are cold!! I have been under a throw and warm doggy all day!!!!

Avian a, I had to take a look at those Pintails...your photos are unbelievable!

Yup LMP, that is Longwood, I had more pics and an explanation but hubby needed the computer. I live about 10 minutes from Longwood, today was the last day for the mum display, the mums are usually in full bloom today and at their peak.
