Merry Christmas everyone!

I had a question. Figured it would be best answered here since I've seen some of you process your own turkeys and may have seen this. We bought this turkey frozen from the grocery store (never again). We opened it up and found it black on the top. From the skin, all the way down into the breast. I've never seen this before. Anybody know what this could be from? Not sure if we should eat it it or not.

That is an abcess, the live bird was most likely laying around alot on that spot..
common with meat style poultry,,,,I sometimes will see this and save these birds for my own use, never sell them....I just cut the spot out and proceed to cook normally, never hurt no one here but it is very unsightly
