GM folk:

Chicks have not left the coop this am...really cold and windy here...fortunately the NNW wind allows me to leave the coop door open without drafts....getting ready to feed and water,,,,then its snow blowing time....keep warm!

Midnight drove home was not fun. I did get up to almost 40 once. Thank goodness for 4wd, one road was untouched. No problems, just slow and easy.

I was so glad I was not working, would of been the same...and I do not have 4wd
I am busy hibernating under my blanket of kitties. Love these guys when it's cold out...lol
remember those days, only it was dogs,,,,to much cat hair makes me sneeze..

I had a 200 pound newfoundland and a 100 pound lab/shephard mix....not only was I warm but I was pinned down

I can think of someone who is enjoying this snow...

Conquering the chores one waterer at a time...

Wing, how are you getting to the farm without 4WD? snow shoes? a sleigh?

I prefer my kitties. HAVE to be able to move...even if it means wiggling from under 1 kitty at a time to shift position.

No 4wd here either. Should have seen us trying to get off the hill this morning.

SLOWLY !!! it is only 2 miles, shouldn't take more than an hour to get there,,,,I have walked in the past..

the truck is 4wd but I do not get to drive that to often MEN>>> if I would of been at work it would of been in the car....

I can honestly say that days like this I envy those city folk that I make fun of......bet none of them have frost bite,,,,I can not feel my fingers or toes...

had to hurry up and put some feed bags up for wind block,,,had some snow blow in the corn crib coop,,,put feed bags up on the inside and leaned an old piece of plywood against the outside..

those rubber tubs are life savers for me, turn over,,,stomp,,,,refill..

yes I agree about the rubber bowls..........I went thru so many variations of water bowls and this is the best..........its worth it to buy them and they actually have a pretty reasonable price.

My chickens don't want to come out of their coop.

I have water outside and did put a food bowl inside............I am worried about that........if they spill it in the tall stack of leaves they have inside..........I guess it will keep them busy in their coop!
