Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Are you guys all sleeping? Waaaaake up! Don't you know your poor defenseless animals are starving to death out in that cold, dark scary place called a coop? They are crying out to you! "Save us! Feed us! Warm us!"
Ha ha ha!! Morning everyone! Have a great (and warm!) day with lots of eggs!!

I had this on my face book page also. It is so cool! I still am wondering if the picture is real or photo shopped. Either way it is cool.

Good morning! Happy Saturday everyone! My cat is making it very hard to type this morning.. He does not want me on the computer apparently.. lol Got my wood stove burning hot! So thankful the storm they were predicting earlier in the week never developed!

It was crazy, all that ice on top of all that snow. We had trees and branches coming down on our property too. It was crazy and nerve racking. Had one branch hit the corner of my small coop (no significant damage) however in my big pen, my birds have lost most of their shade trees. Also had some branches come down and hit the fencing, took part of the fencing down some. Luckily I got it back up. What kinds of damage did you all have? I saw the branch on one A frame coop, glad there was no major damage! :)

Glad you had the stove during the outage!

We are actually very lucky. We have a wood stove & a whole house generator. We were pretty comfortable except for no internet for 3 days! I even had electric to the chicken coops to keep their water from freezing.

I did feel bad for some of the others in this area that have no back up heat/electric. I have a brother that lives in York City and he still is without power.

That is good you had a generator also! Makes a big difference! Sorry to change the subject, but I just noticed you have speckled Sussex too! I love that breed. We have about 4, of them. I want to get more!
