Wing, just thought I would let you know that 26 of the 30 eggs you sold me are developing! I am so happy! :) Thank you so much!
:clap
I wanted to give everyone an update. We got all our holes dug, leveled, and posts in. We have the floor built for the shed half of the coop and will be setting it today and hopefully getting a few walls up today. Things are moving along pretty smooth now that we don't have to dig anymore (figures now that the ground has softened up a little)

Now Blarney, I know you have dug holes for fending and all,,,remember how tired your arms were,,,,they most likely can not lift their arms yet to take pics
Great news everyone, I found someone who has and will sell me some SS eggs! I am so happy right now! Mt next quest is to find some Creme Legbar eggs... Anyone have any of those?? :)
Holy full brooder, have you done the chicken math here...
I have done the math. I have the room. I am going to be getting a shed from my neighbor here soon. In the past my hatch rates have not been very good. Unfortunately. My house does not hold a steady temperature and well I just dunno why some don't make it.. However I try my best to hatch chicks. I guess you could say I am still in the learning stages of hatching. I hope that the fan I installed in my incubator is helping to keep a steady temperature. It seems to be doing the trick. Most of the roos that come out if the hatches will be raised for freezer camp so that reduces overall numbers. Any extras that I have or do not want I can put up for sale. I think I have most everything planned out... Thanks for the concern. I also want to be able to sell eggs eventually and so I need more layers. I can't wait to see what we get out of the mix you gave us Wing! I love the look of a colorful free ranging flock. :)

I quit counting many years ago at 29. It still didn't stop the grey hair or aches & pains. :-S

maybe a sign that says, caution,  attack rooster, he hates strangers

Great idea! :thumbsup

Or a sign that says "Warning: sprayed for ticks -- keep off for 30 days"

Still seems like a good excuse to get a goose.

We always love an excuse for more birds. :D

I ;like the way you guys think..:gig

remind me to check for booby traps when you are around,,,
