I'm game if I can get to your neck of the woods...do you know what types? I may try to get some Chester Co folk together for a road trip,  April 25 with Wing & company.....at Shady/Green Dragon....

I have four bags. One says white figs, one says people sweet small, one large copper green, one just figs.
They are from seven different trees. My nephew bought a house that had been owned by a couple from Greece and these were well established when they moved in.

@wingstone that silkie mix paired with a SFH rooster is throwing yellow chicks with yellow legs with feathers and after 5 days developing some interesting patterns on its wing feathers.

I mean this in the kindest way possible. I love seeing dirty fingernails this time of year. It's spring! We can go outside and plant and garden and clean up! Yay!

No offense taken! I work in a printing plant. Between that and my animals, garden, etc that is clean for me!
I have very rough hands, horrible nails, cuts and scrapes everywhere.

Once years ago I went to the medical center for stiches when I gashed my hands worse than normal. The doctor called the nurse over and aid " this is what working hands look like." He actually had to use a larger needle to get through the calluses.

Started work on a new pen. Adding a 12 x 9 pen for meat birds.

Also thinking about separating my ducks and chickens. I think my one drake snuck up on a chicken at the big water trough and pushed her in, and then raped/drowned her.

I always know when someone was a gardener, farmer or mechanic because when I start IVs on them I have trouble even getting through the skin!  It is amazing how much a person can learn just by looking at someone's hands....

I agree and being a nail technician / manicurist, my eyes are always drawn to people's hands. And you sure can learn a lot!

I'm reposting this question since it may have gotten looked over. Can a chick or chicken eat too much and 'burst asunder' (have a crop blow out)? The other day kind of made me wonder with my fatty pattys stuffing their little beaks and getting breasts like Dolly Parton.
