awesome!!!...parents would have card games with their friends till the wee-hours of the morning..I used to sit on the stairs and listen to them talk about all their "adult" life-stuff...I would fall asleep listening to laughter and good times.Ah pinochle! My daddy taught me to count cards at the tender age of 8. By ten I was playing cards until 3 am with my brothers college buddies.
Yeah, I'm a bad influence.
I went through all of the advanced math courses in high school, then more in college & ended up with an accounting certificate. I still have trouble helping my daughter with her math. They have her doing algebra in 4th grade when she hasn't mastered multiplication & dividion yet. How the heck can these kids find square roots when they can't multiply & divide yet??? They have my 4th grader doing stuff I didn't learn until 8th grade & I was a year ahead of most & was in the advanced math classes.
Exactly! They skip teaching the basics so kids can't even add, subtract, multiply & divide & then wonder why they can't do the algebra & trig & geometry.
such way & the teacher would check it & say yes.
Heard that...so nice huh?!agreed. My son is in 3rd grade and they just learned their multiplication facts, started division, still practicing adding and subtracting and they're already being introduced to square roots, fractions and decimals! It amazes me. I was also in the higher math classes and he's learning stuff WAY earlier than I ever did. I feel so bad, even though he's doing really well, he sometimes mixes up whether he's adding or multiplying. It's crazy!
Did you all know that is not mandatory for schools to teach cursive writing anymore? That made me SO mad when I found out. Our kids' school does teach it but only during second grade but then they don't really practice it anymore afterwards. What's happening to our schools? Cask me a conspiracy theorist but I think it's a clever scheme to dumb up our society under the guise of advancing them faster to be able to take away more freedoms with few people questioning it. (You all heard that police no longer need search warrents to search vehicles in PA now right? )
I SO desperately want this! We have 4 pallets sitting in the garage. They're not in the best shape but I'm going to see what I can do with them![]()
I'm not sure it's about taking away our freedoms (though that does seem to drive other policies), as it is to ensure a populous "working class". Some children have always gotten better educations than others because their parents can afford to send them to private schools. This parental investment of time and/or money, certainly tilts the playing field for those kids, and they up (generally) with far more lucrative careers. The middle class is shrinking as they move either up or down.agreed. Black with yellow undersides and the very ends going down the feet have some yellow color,
So far they either hatch like that or a solid yellow.
But if I remember correctly, the mille fleur had mostly yellow as chicks
Wheaten is the classic "yellow down" chick. White birds also of course. I'll have to try to look this up, but I expect MF is also wheaten based, probably with mottled genes and mahogany to darken the buff of wheaten.
I think Mottled is recessive, so all the chicks from the wheaten roo will probably not show any MFpatterns.
Do you have only the wheaten roo, or a MF roo also?
