Blarney, what kind of goats do you have? Are you kidding in the spring?
I'm leaning toward Nigerian dwarf. Being single, I don't use that much milk.
Ooooo, I wanted two of those so bad. The hubby has talked me out of it for now. Until he gave me a bunch of reasons we don't want goats, I had no idea how troublesome goats can potentially be and all the things we'd need to think about. I don't know of any books, but I did a ton of reading on the web. Sounds like you already have a fence, but is it tall enough? They also love to play, so you'll want things for them to play with. Most of the stuff I've seen you can make yourself out of inexpensive things like boards and and barrels and logs, things like that. It would be great if you could go see Blarney's. I live much closer to her, so maybe I'll be lucky enough to get an invitation someday too!
Here are a couple of videos you can watch. There are tons of goat videos on YouTube. If you do a search, you'll find some fun ones like goats playing, and some instructional ones about care and training, etc. I just want to warn you before you watch the two below that it's probably going to make you want them even more than you do now. Do you want me to see if can find some of the ones where they're destroying things to sort of balance it out?
