So, those of you who let your chickens do your composting, do you give them coffee grounds? If so, do you let the paper filter in there also?

Problem is, the blue makes it very hard to discern a white head spot like the black sex links. Once they grow a few feathers, the barring on the males will be obvious. Or maybe all the blue ones are females!!
yep, it is haard to explain to some people. once spring gets here and i can get out in the dirt all day, I feel totally different, it is not a problem to work from sun up to sun down and not think twice about it. but for about three months every winter, I am a lazy bum.Like wingstone, the winter is difficult for me mentally. No energy. Pretty sure it's SAD. Took the dog for a walk sturdy and Sunday, seemed to help getting out in the sun. Being cooped up doesn't help. I'm not very social, so most of my time is spent puttering around the property when the weather is nice. Really force myself to do critter care in this type of weather. I have plenty of inside projects that need done, just no energy to do them. They sell lights to sit in front of to help with the winter doldrums, but I get plenty of daylight when I'm not on day shift and my workdays are spent under 5000k lights, so the lack of daylight shouldn't affect me this way.
