Aw, thank you! I'm still pretty impressed with myself that I was able to build it all by myself in two weeks while 8-9 months pregnant. I took the 'winter wall panels' off a few weeks ago and was surprised, I had forgotten how much I liked it.

If you are talking about Freehling Farms (which I think you are) that's the place I got my birds from roughly 5 weeks ago. I picked up 4 SLW and 3 BA and so far haven't had any problems with them and them seem to have gotten the sexing right on all 7 birds. They seemed like nice enough people and were very helpful.

Did you moisten the membrane with ointment instead of water so it doesn't dry out right away? I find that helps. Although for the record, I've never helped a broody hatch eggs, other than put them in the incubator if she leaves the nest mid zip. Then I tuck them back under at night and let her work her broody magic.
Just hatched our first ever quail. We're not looking to keep them if anyone is interested. I've got chicks hatching right now that need the space.
