Thank you. She not wheezing quite as bad now and she's slowly munching on some breakfast (I added a shot of ACV to it). I firmly believe that she has asthma and that the dust they kicked up in the coop yesterday is giving her a hard time but there is absolutely no info on asthma in chickens anywhere. She's just going to be hanging out on the chair in the living room today I think.

I don't know anything about chicken asthma, but DH is asthmatic. Based on our experience for DH, warmness and humidity will help. I don't know if it's a good idea to give her a warm bath, or she may be stressed from the bath?

Very impressive egg colors. I personally like the eggs from the other three than the Marans ones. I'm actually supprised the Marans eggs aren't the dirtiest because of their feathered feet.

I find them impossible to distinguish. I should add that I "cherry picked" the best eggs from each pen to make the comparison, so this represents the best from a weeks collection. The sample sizes varied widely, lots of Welsummer and Welbar eggs to choose from, but very few Marans and BF's.

The Marans are clean because that is a small flock to they are in my smallest pen and that happens to be in an enclosed barn, very protected from the rain and snow. It is dry to the point of being dusty in their pen. All the others are in my large coop with no floor (straw on bare soil), so they tend to see a bit more mud when it rains.

Maybe it's just the photo. The Marans eggs seem have some yellowish tint,the other three don't.
