Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I've been off for a while with my life being crazy. I've been catching up the past few days all the chicken are doing well and I will be putting some orpington eggs in the incubator on March 5 along with some EE eggs I got my hands on. The orpington eggs will be from the chickens chiques chicks sent me and the eggs I set from the bantams that emorems0 gave me hatched so I four happy and healthy additional that are growing like crazy. I have big plans for another chicken coop and a pole barn with this warm weather so there is no chance of me slowing down. I hope you are all doing ok

Yay! What colors of Orpington's will you be hatching out?

Hello everyone, I need to catch up on page posts here. Been busy while I was away. And wow, has my turkey poult been busy, it's growing SO fast!

Anywho, @dheltzel or anyone else. What breed do we think this little guys is? And for that matter, is it a guy or a girl? Is it too early to tell? This is my first (but certainly not last ;) ) turkey. Hatched about January 29th.

Oh, and turkey and Mama are outside right now. I am trying to keep it indoors for another week, so that it is big enough to not get eaten by my neighbor's cat.

they are not the standard colored I'm not sure what you would call them I have a black hen a red or dark buff hen and and a rooster a guess you would call splash but I got thme off of @ChiqueChick maybe she could help me define the colors better since she gave me them. They are so sweet and the rooster is becoming such a man of the house he even lumped my cats in with his flock lol I don't think the cats appreciate it very much but I guess when they all sleep together that's what happens

No idea on the sex, but definitely a Mottled Black or Mottled Silver Dapple. The only real difference is whether it will have distinct white patches or a sprinkling of white. They are both quite distinctive and beautiful colors.

I find Rhodebars have no fear of people and they seem to develop an attitude about trying to keep us in our place. They are the only breed that I have had bite and hold my skin when I pick them up. They don't seem aggressive in doing it, just completely unafraid of me. When I was moving them to a new coop, the Welsummers and Ameraucanas would run away fast after I released them, the Rhodebars would sqawk and look up at me as if they were warning me not to do that again, then ruffle their feathers and saunter off like they owned the joint.

I'm amazed about my rhodebar girl Ruff-Ruff, who actually enjoy being peted and seems gentle with other chicks and me. Brownie the sexlink actually is the one has an attitude. She doesn't like to be hold too much unless she jumps on my hand first, but she's mad about me pet other chicks and will peck the chick or me to get attention. If things don't go her way, she'll peck or push other chicks, but she usually is gentle and friendly.
